117.8 million
people worldwide were forcibly displaced
from their homes due to conflict, violence,
or persecution in 2025.

Walk. Run. Ride. CHOOSE HOPE
This October, join us at Global Mental Health Alliance for our annual HOPE WALK - a month long opportunity to walk, run or ride while raising support and awareness for refugee and conflicted affected communities.
You choose the challenge.
You choose the distance.
You choose how you want to participate.
But together, we
CHOOSE HOPE.
Why We Walk
For millions of people around the world, conflict and displacement don't end why they reach safety.
Children carry the effects of what they have experienced. Families rebuild after losing homes and communities. Refugees face uncertainty, loss and trauma as they begin again.
Mental health is often overlooked in the midst of these enormous needs - but healing matters.
At Global Mental Health Alliance, we believe that people affected by conflict deserve more than survival. They deserve the opportunity to heal, rebuild and hope again.
Through our work in Uganda, we provide culturally sensitive, Christ-centered psychosocial support to refugees and conflict affected communities, equipping individuals, families, churches and local leaders with tools for healing and resilience.
HOPE WALK gives you the opportunity to be a part of this vital work.

Move For Hope
Register for the HOPE WALK and choose whether you will be walking, running or biking this October.
Choose a distance and fundraising goal that works for you.
Once you register, a member of our team will be in touch with everything you need to get started (including setting up a fundraising page through our Canadian charitable partners at SIM Canada).
Throughout October, walk, run or ride wherever you are. Share your progress, encourage others to join and help raise both funds and awareness for refugees and conflict affected communities.
Once you register, someone from our team will be in touch shortly with setting up your fundraising page, more information and to welcome you to the HOPE WALK!
This October, Choose Hope
You don't have to travel to Uganda to make a difference.
Walk. Run. Ride.
Gather your friends.
Grab your family.
Get your church or workplace involved.
Whatever your challenge, use it to raise support
for individuals who have been impacted
by conflict and displacement.
Together, we can bring hope and healing to communities who need it most.
Walk. Ride. Run.
