EVOLVING FOR GLOBAL IMPACT
From the heart of Uganda to the world stage. A journey of healing, hope, and restored identity.
The Foundation
I Live Again Uganda was born out of the LRA insurgency in Northern Uganda. We established a model of holistic restoration, providing trauma counseling and community development to survivors of war.

The Mission Expands
In 2025, we recognized that the need for our proven trauma care model extended far beyond Uganda's borders.

Global Mental Health Alliance
We are taking the DNA of I Live Again Uganda—our heart, our expertise, and our faith—and applying it to a global context. We dream of a world where everyone has healing, hope, and identity.
Continuing the Legacy

While our name and logo have evolved, our commitment to restoring lives remains unchanged. We are proud to continue the work of I Live Again Uganda.

A Lifetime of Service
Founded in 2008 by Ruth and Benson Ocen, the organization was born out of a deep commitment to serve their community and address the impact of years of war.
What started as a small community-based organization has blossomed into a thriving ministry. Benson, trained by clinical psychologist Dr. Robi Sonderegger, established the trauma counseling foundations that continue to guide the Global Mental Health Alliance today.
